You might feel tempted to shop based on price alone, and thus use this site for the single purpose of finding the cheapest hosting possible. Don't! Satisfaction comes when you get fair service for the price you're paying. The price alone is not a satisfaction guarantee.
There are 2 approaches you should take. One is to come to this site determined to use a certain company because you equally like its offer and its reputation, but want to minimize the risks, or get a price that you feel to be more in line with the features/value. Finding a coupon here will basically be an added bonus to your shopping experience. The other approach is to look for the offers you like most among our coupons, and then do your research to see which of the companies truly deserve your trust.
We don't discriminate between companies here. If a company has a valid coupon, we list it (unless it's construed to be only a way spamvertise the company here, like 1 cent off a $300 server bill). As a consequence of this, you need to do your own proper research on any company you plan to use. Finding web hosting reviews is arguably the most effective technique you have at your disposal.
Sometimes coupons listed in the hosting category may be of interest to those looking for great registering deals, and the other way around. If a company is both a registrar and a host, it's best to check all the coupons that are available for the company, and see how you can best take advantage of them.
Some temporary special offers may be used in conjunction with coupons. In contrast, coupons may not be used in conjunction with other coupons (at least none that I know of). You can only use one coupon at a time. That being said, you may very well try several coupons and compare their effect on the amount you'll have to pay, before you actually check out

Once you've found the coupon that fits your purpose, and decided to make the purchase, go to the provider's website and follow the order and checkout instructions. At some point during the checking out process, there should be a form field that invites you to enter/redeem your coupon. Enter the code (make sure that the spelling is correct) and continue as instructed/necessary.
Not all systems are alike. Sometimes the coupon code form field might be placed in a somewhat awkward/separated position on the page, and you might have to look for it quite throughly at all stages of the checkout. It may very well be that not all providers want to place a lot of emphasis on the coupons, or remind customers of their possible existence. :)
If the coupon is invalid you would expect some type of error message, but it may not always be so. This makes it doubly important for you to check that the coupon has actually been applied to your bill before you click the button that certifies the charge.
If something doesn't occur as expected, don't make the purchase, contact the provider for help instead. That is of course assuming you're not in some type of hurry, or otherwise willing to forego the coupon.
Good luck!
